Bhim Army to launch a massive anti-CAA agitation in UP
Varanasi: Bhim Army led by Chandrashekhar Ravan has planned to launch a big agitation in Uttar Pradesh against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Ravan and his supporters were in Varanasi on Sunday to take part in the Jayanti celebration of Sant Ravidas and offered prayer at Sant Ravidas Temple in Seer Gowardhanpur, the birthplace of the great saint.
Talking to reporters, he said that the Bhim Army is ready to launch a massive anti-CAA and NRC agitation in UP. He also claimed that UP would get a chief minister from Bahujann society in 2022 assembly polls.
On Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh protests he said, the Prime Minister should make it clear that why the voice of women protesters is not being heard. When asked about court’ restriction on his movement, he questioned, “Who says that court has restricted him from going anywhere”. He said that he was visiting Shaheen Bhagh and Bhim Army volunteers were there for the security of women protesters.
On his visit to Sant Ravidas Temple, he said that he was not her to get any political gain. “I came here to seek blessing of Sant Ravidas for peace, prosperity and harmony in the country,” he added.
