Varanasi: On the second day of the campus placement drive at the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) the selected students were offered package ranging from Rs. 9 lakh to Rs. 38 lakh.
Earlier in the first slot four students were offered jobs for international positions with the highest offer of Rs 1.53 crores (214600 USD). The campus placement drive of IIT (BHU) began from Saturday midnight and continued to Sunday afternoon.
The professor in-charge Training and Placement Cell of IIT-BHU Prof Anil Kumar Agrawal said that as many as 43 companies visited for campus recruitment from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon. The visiting companies offered 120 more jobs with annual CTC ranging from ranging from Rs 9 lakh to Rs. 38 lakh per annum. So far, the total number of selections is 550.
