Varanasi: ‘Udghosh-2020’ -the week-long sports events organized by the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital concluded at the ground of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University on Friday.
The concluding day witnessed the finals of cricket, tug-of-war and badminton. The principal Prof Neelam Gupta began the cricket match with the toss. The final match was won by Jeevak Team defeating the SAS team by two wickets.
In tug-of-war finals, RAC team in women’s category and SAS team in men’s category clinched the Gold, while Jeevak team was out of the race. In volleyball final between the teams of doctors and employees, the doctors’ team wom the match by 2-0. Dr. Manish Mishra and Prof Rakesh Pandey captured the Gold in badminton final, while RAC student Namrata bagged the Gold in women’s category.
The RAC teams captured the Gold in women’s doubles and mixed doubles in carom, while SAS team became victorious in men’s doubles. In 400m women’s relay race RAC tram secured first position followed by Jeevak (second) and SAS (third). Similarly, in 400m men’s relay race Jeevak team secured top position followed by RAC (second) and SAS (third).
The jury comprised of Prof Kanchan Gupta, Prof AK Sonkar, Prof Rakesh Pandey, Prof Sanjay Pandey, Dr KK Dwivedi, Dr Rashmi Pandey and senior medical officer Dr Vinay Mishra.
