12 new COVID-19 positive cases found in Varanasi
Varanasi: As many as 12 persons including a 1.5-month-old baby tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said that among them four belong to the family of a medicine supplier including 50-year-old father, 30-year-old sister, 24-year-old wife and 1.5-month-old daughter.
Besides, three employees of the same supplier and a customer were also found positive. The 30-year-old customer is a shop keeper in Pahadia area. These eight cases have contact history of this medicine supplier.
Three other people from Reori Talab, Bhelupur were found positive. Their contacts were traced to a positive Jamati of Karnataka. A 60-year-old advocate from Kazipura Khurd in Sigra area also tested positive. He does not have any travel and contact history. He had fever and was referred by DDU for sampling.
