Covid tally rises to 4716 in Varanasi
Varanasi: The Covid-19 tally of Varanasi rose to 4,716 with 161 more persons tested positive on Monday. With three more deaths, the number of fatalities increased to 85 in the district.
According to medical bulletin, 175 patients were discharged from the hospitals after their recovery from illness on Monday. So far, 2,930 patients have recovered, while 1,701 are still under treatment.

In Ballia district, 81 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 increasing the tally to 2,410. So far, 1,423 patients have recovered, while 24 persons lost their lives. Presently the district has 933 active cases. In Azamgarh district, 69 more persons were found positive for Covid-19 increasing the tally to 1,772. Of them 29 died, while 891 patients are under treatment.
Ghazipur district reported 108 new cases of Covid-19 0n Sunday night increasing the tally to 1,650. Of them 665 persons have recovered so far while 12 patients died. Chandauli district also reported 38 new Covid-19 patients on Sunday night increasing the tally to 1,152. So far, 849 patients have recovered, while 11 persons died.
