Murmu sworn in as CAG
New Delhi: At a ceremony held on Saturday in the Ashoka Hall, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Girish Chandra Murmu was sworn in as the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India. He made and subscribed to the oath of office before the President Ram Bath Kovind.
Murmu will have a tenure up to 20.11.2024.
Taking to Twitter, the official handle of President Kovind posted photos of the swearing in ceremony and wrote: “Shri Girish Chandra Murmu sworn in as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”
Murmu was earlier appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. He stepped down from the post on Thursday.
