Muscleman MLA Vijay Mishra booked in gang-rape case

 

Bhadohi: Jailed muscleman MLA Vijay Mishra and his son and nephew were booked for allegedly raping a woman. On the complaint of gang rape by a Varanasi based woman, an FIR was lodged FIR under sections 376D, 342 and 506 of IPC against Vijay Mishra, his son Vishnu Mishra and nephew Vikas Mishra at Gopiganj police station on Sunday. The woman alleged that she had been sexually assaulted by Mishra and his kin since 2014. According to the SP RB Singh, the investigation is underway.

The woman alleged in her complaint that she had gone to Mishra’s residence to perform songs in 2014, when he raped her and threatened not to open mouth. She was allegedly raped again by Vishnu and Vikas while they were going to drop her at her home. In 2015 she was called by him in Allapur area in Allahabad and later in a hotel of Varanasi. She alleged that Mishra had also made obscene video clips and also made video calls to force her for virtual sex. She also attached some clips and screen shots with her complaint.

Currently Mishra is currently lodged at Agra jail. He was arrested in Madhya Pradesh on August 14 in a case ledged against him, his MLC wife Ramlali Mishra and son Vishnu Mishra on August 8 for allegedly grabbing the property of his relative Krishnakant Tiwari. However, Ramlali and Vishnu have been absconding. An order for attaching their property had already been issued by the court.

Earlier, he was booked under Goonda Act at Aurai police station on July 18 for threatening a contractor of toll plaza at Lalanagar on national highway-2 in Aurai area. Again, on September 19, Tiwari’s son case Surya lodged another FIR with Gopiganj police against Mishra’s daughter Sima Mishra, grandson Vikas Mishra, Girdhari Pathak and four others for threatening him. One more FIR was lodged against him on September 26 for misusing the letter pads of gram pradhan of Kaulapur Usha Mishra for recommending CB-CID or other high-level probe in a case in which he was arrested and sent to jail on August 14.
