Prez to offer prayer at KVT, watch Ganga Aarti

VARANASI: President Ram Nath Kovind for the first time will watch the grand Ganga Aarti at historic Dashashwamedh Ghat after offering prayer at Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Saturday. During his three-day tour to Uttar Pradesh from March 13 to 15, he will take part in various events in Varanasi, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts.

According to the tour schedule, the President with his family members will see the Ganga Aarti after offering prayer at Kashi Vishwanath temple. He will leave for Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts on March 14. In Sonbhadra district, the President will attend the Vanvasi Sangam and inaugurate the newly-built school and hostel of Seva Samarpan Sansthan of Akhil Bhartiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram at Seva Kunj Ashram, Chapki. From Sonbhadra, he will move to Mirzapur district, where he will offer prayer at Vindhyavasini Devi temple in Vindhyachal. He will also attend a programme on the issues of Ganga, environment and the culture of India in Varanasi on March 15.

It is the glory of Ganga aarti that attracts the celebrities and heads of nations. Actors like Juhi Chawla, Vidya Balan, Angelina Jolie, Sonam Kapoor, Abhishiek Bachhan, Amitabh Bachhan, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abey, President of France Imanuel Macro and many others had watch the grandeur of Ganga Aarti and mesmerizing beauty of the riverfront.
