UP Govt wants to kill me – Gyanpur MLA
Mirzapur: The muscleman MLA from Gyanpur (Bhadohi) Vijay Mishra alleged that the UP Government is conspiring to eliminate him. He was brought from Agra jail and produced before the chief judicial magistrate court in Mirzapur on Wednesday in a case of extortion threat.
The CJM ordered to send him back to Agra jail in a 14-day police remand. The next date of hearing in this case was fixed on December 1. The court allowed the police to interrogate MLA in Agra jail.
After coming out of the court, he started shouting and alleging that the state government is conspiring to kill him. He further alleged that police officials were instrumental in lodging fake case against him after taking bribe. He, however, did not level any allegation on chief minister Yogi Adityanath and said that he (Yogi) has been kept in dark.
According to Vindhyachal inspector Sheshdhar Pandey, a priest of Vindyachal temple Avanish Mishra had lodged an FIR against the MLA on August 26 alleging that the latter had threatened him from jail to pay Rs 15 lakhs as extortion.
Vijay Mishra has 71 criminal cases in his account and 10 cases being heard in MP/MLA court. He has been lodged in Agra jail after his arrest in Madhya Pradesh on August 14. His relative Krishna Kanth Tiwari had lodged a case against him, his MLC wife Ramlali Mishra and son Vishnu with Gopiganj police on August 8 alleging that they forcibly got his property registered in their names. As Ramlali and Vishnu are absconding, an order for attaching their property had already been issued by the court.
