Meerut: When the whole world is battling the COVID-19 pandemic utilizing all resources to save the mankind, a Meerut based social organization Betiyan Foundation is also contributing its share to extend support to those going empty stomach due to lockdown.
The daily wagers are the worst affected in lockdown due to the closure of most economic activities. It is hard for them to arrange food for their families in this critical situation.
Some of the residents of Kaliyagadhi locality have been going without food for several days. When the matter came to the knowledge of the organization, the president Anju Pandey came forward with a helping hand. The families were provided with ration and moral support to face the challenging time.
“Our organization has been helping the poor people, and would continue to do so,” said Anju Pandey and made an appeal to the local administration as well as individuals to help the needy persons in such a critical time.
