Varanasi: Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Head, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University has been selected for the prestigious Leadership for Academicians Programme (LEAP) of MHRD, Government of India.
Leadership for Academicians Programme (LEAP) is a three weeks flagship Leadership Development training programme (Two weeks domestic and one week foreign training) for academic leadership in public funded higher education institutions under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Scheme of MHRD. The purpose of this flagship program is to prepare academic heads who are potentially likely to assume leadership roles in academic institutions in the future.
Under this program Prof. Rai has been completed the two weeks domestic training at Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh and now going to Ohio State University, USA on September 7 for one week foreign training on leadership development from September 8 to 15.
After Completing the LEAP program, Prof Rai is invited by the Yale University and University of California, Davis (UC Davis) for delivering the lecture and academic & research interactions for exploring the collaborations with BHU.
