Varanasi: Taking a dig at the question raised by opposition parties over the timing of announcement of the Trust for building temple at Ram Janambhumi in Ayodhya, BJP state president Swatantrata Dev Singh said that the announcement has no connection with the Delhi polls.
“In stead of questioning the timing of the announcement and linking it with Delhi polls, all opposition parties should stand with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said while talking to reporters here on Thursday. He said that the PM never waited for any occasion to take major decisions whether it be the abrogation of article 370 or the formation of a trust.
Attacking on Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, he said that instead of criticising the BJP led state government on the issue of law and order, they should review their own regimes.
He offered prayer at Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairo temples, and also met the party workers and office bearers before leaving for Sonbhadra.
