Foreigners accorded a warm welcome at Varanasi station

Varanasi: The India Tourism accorded a warm welcome to foreign tourists on arrival at Varanasi station in in Maharaja Express on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival on Friday.

About 65 foreigners and some domestic tourists reached Varanasi. The assistant director India Tourism Amit Kumar Gupta said that the district administration made arrangements for the convenience of the visiting guests. The people of travel associations including Abhishek Singh, Anand Srivastava and Vishal Singh welcomed the visitors amid chanting of vedic mantras. They were also presented flower and Rudraksh.

After having lunch at a hotel the visitors went to Sarnath for site seeing. They also watched the Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh ghat in the evening. After taking dinner at Darbhanga Ghat they left for their next destination.
