GAIL organises cyclothon to create awareness of fuel conservation

Varanasi: The Saksham Cyclothon organized by the GAIL (India) Limited and Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) was flagged off by the divisional commissioner Deepak Agrawal at Police Lines on Sunday.

The cycle rally under the Saksham Cycle Day celebration was organized to create awareness about the fuel conservation, environment protection and promote the use of cycle for short distances. About 2500 participants took part in the rally.

The function was attended by the chief general manager of GAIL (India) Limited SN Yadav, deputy general manager CS Majithia, CO Cantt Mushtaq Ahmad, executive engineer of UP Nirman Nigam RB Singh and others.

As many as 10 winners of lucky draw were given bicycles. The PCRA’s mass awareness program on fuel conservation is being conducted for a month from January 16 to February 15.
