Varanasi: Former medical superintendent of Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Institute of Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University Prof Vijay Nath Mishra was felicitated with ‘Kashi Gaurav Samman’ for his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine and health care at a function organized by the Society for Social Action and Research (SSAR) on Sunday.
It was the 22nd Award Ceremony of SSAR organized in memory of Acharya Brajballabh Dwivedi. The other distinguished persons including the principal of Jeevandeep English School Dr Mamata Singh, and Neelu Mishra were also honoured on the occasion for their contributions to the fields of education and sports respectively.
The function was presided over by the Peethashishwar of Jangambadi Math Jadagtguru Dr Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Mahaswami. The function was addressed by Padma Shri Dr Rajni Kant, Prof Shyam Kartik Mishra, Prof Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Dr Divya Singh and others.
