Varanasi: Scores of students of the Institute of Agriculture Science, Banaras Hindu University sat on dharna in front of the institute’s main gate on Monday morning in protest against the alleged apathy shown by the university for holding their annual cultural festival ‘Srishthi-2020’.
The students alleged that the university did not provide fund and Swatantrata Bhawan for holding the annual function. They assembled at the institute’s gate around 8:30 am and began sit-in stir.
The annual function of IAS was held on December 31. The BHU spokesperson could not be contacted despite repeated attempt.
