Varanasi. The court of Additional District Judge (12th) Baburam on Thursday punished the accused husband Vinod Yadav with ten years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 600.six for killing his wife for dowry.
According to ADGC Rup Narayan Prajapati of the prosecution, Reena, daughter of Kalpnath Yadav, resident of village Tegipur, Dagarupur, Chubepur, was married to Vinod Yadav of Chakbasdev village on May 30, 2014. A month after the wedding, the in-laws started harassing the woman for demanding a car.
Later, Vinod murdered his wife on September 20, 2016 and hanged her using a sari as a noose with a fan in order to frame her suicide.
