Mishti enjoys shooting in Varanasi

Mishti Chakraborty, who made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s film Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, enjoyed boating in Ganga and roaming along the majestic ghats during the shooting of an untitled Telugu film recently.

The film director Sundeep Gopisetty, who is making his debut in direction, is overwhelmed with the beauty of Banaras. “It is terrific to shoot this ancient city particularly the ghats,” wondered Gopisetty, whose film unit has been here for over six days. Besides shooting in Varanasi, the fil was also shot in Chunar in Mirzapur district.  Before coming to Varanasi, the major part of the film was shot in Hyderabad. He said that the film based on family drama also stars Karthik Raju. The local line producer of the film is Zubair Shah.

Misthi’s Tollywood debut with the Nitin A Karunakaran in film Chinnadana Nee Kosam, and her Mollywood debut is with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jinu Abraham’s film Adam Joan. Mishti’s another Telugu film, Columbus produced by MS Raju, stars Sumanth Ashwin. She returned to Bollywood with Indra Kumar’s Great Grand Masti, the third film in the Masti film series. In 2017, she appeared in Srijit Mukherji’s historical film Begum Jaan, alongside Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya Balan.
