Varanasi: The workers of Aam Adami Party led by the state spokesperson Mukesh Singh staged dharna at Ambedkar Park near kutchehery on Wednesday in protest against the gang rape and killing of Hyderabad vet.
Demanding a stringent law to put an effective check on such heinous crime against women, Singh said that the government should bring a strong law to create terror among such people. He also demanded a ban on the obscene material available online.
Condemning the Hyderabad incident, the district president Kailash Patel said that the culprits should be punished severely within six months. The dharna was attended by Abdullah Khan, Mohsina Parveen, Akhilesh Pandey, Vinod Jaiswal, Arvind Patel, Pallavi Verma Jaiprakash Yadav and many others.
