Varanasi: A private firm AG Enviro Infra Projects Pvt Ltd, which was declared the successful bidder based on QCBS highest marking, would be engaged in the sanitation works including door to door collection and transportation of municipal solid wastes in the city.
A tender was floated in this regard on November 14, 2019. According to the sources, the solid waste collection and transportation tender would be awarded to this company. A confirmation from the concerned officials has been issued via email to the company.
According to Tarjinder Singh of the company, this contract will be for seven years for entire Varanasi city. The scope of work will include door-to-door collection of municipal solid waste from all households, commercial areas as well as bulk generators & mechanized sweeping of roads as well as toilet cleaning for specified areas in the city. Implementation of the said project is expected to be executed over a period of six months from the date of signing of the concession agreement.
