PM’s Kashi makes century of COVID-19 cases

Five more persons tested positive increasing the total number to 101

 

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency Varanasi on Monday recorded 101 COVID-19 cases after five more persons tested positive. Four infected persons died so far, while 65 patients recovered from illness. Presently, there are 32 active cases of COVID-19 with 41 hotspots in the district.

Among the five persons, a 40-year-old man and his 24-year-old brother belong to Garkhada village in Sindhora area, while a 35-year-old man is from Chiraigaon, a 32-year-old mobile mechanic from Madhavpur Harahua in Badagaon and a 30-year-old youth belong to Bhartharakala in Chaubeypur area. They had returned home from Mumbai on trucks on May 13.

Besides, four persons tested positive in Mirzapur district, two in Azamgarh district and one each in Sonbhadra and Jaunpur districts on Monday.
