IIT (BHU) to hold Kashiyatra

Varanasi: The 38th edition of the annual socio-cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) -Kashiyatra is going to be organised from January 17 to 19. This three-day festival is among the largest festivals in northern India for the students to showcase their skills.

According to the Dean of students Prof BN Rai, the festival will witness more than 2,000 participants from over 350 colleges including IIT Roorkee, AIIMS Delhi, NSUT, DTU, and Delhi University.

The students will be taking part in 63 events in eight categories including dance, Indian music, western music, fine arts, dramatics, lifestyle event, literary, and quiz. This year, 14 international artists are also coming to Kashiyatra from different countries including Spain, Denmark, Italy and the UK to perform shows like a puppet show, one-man band, keyboard show, guitar and vocal recitals.  

For recreation and entertainment, pro-nights have been arranged. The shows that have been announced so far include the youth sensation Ritwiz for January 17 (EDM Night), Uneven Music from Italy for Fusion Night and the famous Bollywood duo -Salim-Suleman for Bollywood Night on January 19.
