Two brothers killed in Ghazipur

Varanasi: Some miscreants shot two brothers in Nandganj area of Ghazipur district on Sunday night. A named FIR against two persons was registered in this connection. The police launched a manhunt to nab the accused. Ghazipur SP Dr Om Prakash Singh said that on the complaint of family members an FIR was lodged against Phulli Bind and Suraj Yadav.

According to reports, the two brothers Vijay Yadav and Pradyumna Yadav, residents of Tukdaha village in Nandganj police station area, ran a bicycle repairing shop near their village. After closing their shop they were returning home on their bicycle when some miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on them and fled the scene. 

The local residents rushed to the place after hearing the gunshot. Police also reached there after getting information and took the injured persons to the district hospital where Vijay was declared dead, and Pradyumna was referred to Varanasi. However, Pradyumna also succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment.

During initial investigation it came to light that some altercation had taken place between them and the accused persons a few months ago after which the latter had set their shop on fire. To settle their dispute villagers had held a meeting in which it was decided that Phulli and Suraj will pay Rs 60,000 to Vijay and Pradyumna as compensation to end their dispute.
