Prof Kalpalata Pandey appointed VC of Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia

Varanasi: Former head of the department of Education, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Prof. Kalpalata Pandey has been appointed vice chancellor of Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia.

UP Governor and chancellor Anandiben Patel on Wednesday appointed her the vice-chancellor of Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia for three years from the date she assumes the office.

Prof Pandey retired from service in 2017. She was nominated as member of academic committee of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for one term and member of Inter-University National Cultural Board (IUNCB) of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). She was also the member of visiting committees of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

National and International compendium, New Delhi has nominated her for Eminent Educationist Award and a certificate of Excellence for her distinguished contribution in the field of education. She is in the advisory as well as Editorial Boards of more than five Journals. She has visited Moscow (in1990) and Paris (in 2005) under cultural exchange schemes of UGC and participated in national and international level seminars.
