UP-BEd Entrance Exam begins

Varanasi: The Uttar Pradesh BEd entrance examination began amid COVID-19 pandemic on Sunday. Though the government had claimed to maintain strict vigil on the compliance of COVID-19, violation of social distancing was witnessed at many examination centres before the beginning of the first shift.

The examination is being conducted in two shifts from 9am-12 noon and from 2pm to 5pm. Over 4.3 lakh candidates had applied to appear in the examination being conducted at 1,089 centres across the state.

As per government’s directives, thermal screening as well as hand sanitization of candidates is a must before entering the exam centre. The candidates were asked to wear face masks and keep hand sanitizer with them. All candidates were advised to follow the Covid-19 protocol strictly.
