Digital Resource Room Inaugurated by BHU VC
Varanasi: The vice chancellor of Banaras Hindu University Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar inaugurated a well-equipped ‘Digital Resource Room’ of the department of Physical Education on Wednesday.
Prof. Bhatnagar, appreciated the initiative of department of Physical Education to establish this International standard ‘Digital Resource Room’ to help the students in their educational as well as professional learning process and encourage students for its optimum utilization in order to compete at world level. “The current scenario makes us to understand the importance of technology and there has been a significant shift in the volume and nature of use of the IT as we respond to changing needs,” he said.
This facility helps to impart IT knowledge to the students of the department. It will support students, faculty, and staff from all academic programs by providing access to technological resources, including Internet access, distance learning communication tools, and selected software for data analysis. It is considered as a convenient and familiar place for faculty, staff and students to access e-books, journals, write papers, technology advancement as per the educational needs. Moreover, this will also help in enriching the learning experiences with the latest knowledge developments.
The function was attended by the head of the department of Physical Education Prof. Abhimanyu Singh, Prof. Vijay Bahadur Singh, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Dr. Vidya Sagar Singh, Prof. Dilip Kumar Dureha, Prof. Sushma Ghildyal, Prof. B.C. Kapri, Prof. Rajiv Vyas, Prof. Vikram Singh, Dr. Akhil Mrhrotra, Dr. Binayak Kumar Dubey, Dr. Krishnakant, Dr. Deepak Kumar Dogra, Dr. Abhishek Verma, Dr. Pradeep Singh Chahar, Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Dr. Linet Khakha, research scholars and students.
