Doctor dies during treatment

Deoria: Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, in-charge of COVID-19 Level-2 Hospital at Deoria, died after battling with coronavirus on Monday morning. He was tested positive for COVID-19 on August 21 and was undergoing treatment at BRD Medical College Gorakhpur.

Dr. Ranjan posted at Rudrapur CHC was a native of Ramchak village under Rudrapur Kotwali area. He was appointed as the in-charge of Kovid-19 Level-2 Hospital Deoria in March. After assuming the charge, he was tirelessly treating patients with utmost care and diligence.

The untimely death of Dr. Rajeev has left medical fraternity in a shock. The district magistrate Amit Kishore, SP Dr. Shripati Mishra, CMO Dr. Alok Pandey along with other officials expressed their solidarity with his family.
