New Delhi, 20 May:  West Bengal, once considered a symbol of Indian culture, has recently witnessed large scale violence, arson, looting, and unabated vicious political attacks which have not only embarrassed the entire country but also dispirited the essence of democratic dignity. Enraged over post Assembly poll violence in the state, Non-resident Indians (NRIs) including Bengali diaspora carried out protests in more than 30 countries demanding stern action by the government against the perpetrators.

Hindu Lives Matter: NRIs carry out protests in 30 countries over Bengal violence

NRIs can be seen in several countries protesting against orgy of violence in West Bengal carrying ‘Hindu Lives Matter’, ‘Hindu genocide’, ‘Mamata Stop Hindu Killing, Stop Raping Hindus’ placards.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) state in-charge Amit Malviya said, “The post poll violence in Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s watch has brought global disrepute to West Bengal. There is massive protest across the globe. NRIs including Bengali diaspora across 50+ cities, spread over 30 countries and 5+ continents are demanding justice for Hindu victims.”

Tito Mukherjee said from California, USA, “The widespread post-poll violence in West Bengal is reminiscent of the atrocities people had to face during the country’s partition. I had heard of the immense atrocities committed during the partition, but I have never seen such post-poll violence that is occurring in West Bengal after the declaration of election results.”

Expressing her grave concern Polly Das said from Ottawa, Canada that the Hindu society in Bengal is terrified and the eyes of those having the responsibility of law and order in the state are shut. “Now, the Central Government should take the unresponsive attitude of the State Government seriously and take fitting action. Where even the security forces are not safe, it is easy to understand what the state of plight of the ordinary citizens could be!”

Ananya Bandopadhyay said from California, USA that remaining hushed on the horrific politico-violent atrocities being inflicted on its own citizens by the current regime and political leadership is nothing short of encouraging and cheering violence. In such circumstances the Hindu society also has the full right of self-defense, which it will use. “The attacks on Hindus are still continued in West Bengal. After TMC goons and jihadists, mow state police initiated a drive to frame false cases against the victims who raised their voice by posting pictures and videos to save themselves. Where will Hindus go?”

“It was a heart wrenching scene from a relief camp in Assam for Hindus of West Bengal, who were forced to leave their land by jihadists. When they saw their MLAs who had come to meet them in Assam, they broke down and cried bitterly. No media, no political party, no judiciary, no govt is bothered about it. No one wants to talk about it. Hindu lives don’t matter in a Hindu majority state!” said VVSN Rao from Sydney, Australia.

Ranjana Shahi, a distinguished lawyer based in Chandigarh who filed a petition in Calcutta High Court demanding stern action against perpetrators and safeguarding the fundamental rights of the victims, said that West Bengal scenario will definitely set a bad precedent. Hence, some earnest and stern action is required.

In her petition Shahi said, “The country is appalled to see the videos and news of the arson, looting, genocide and rapes of the workers and voters of the party which has lost elections, by the victor in West Bengal and resulting in mass scale exodus of Hindus from Bengal.”

“Under the circumstances, the sadistic Jihadists are not only jeopardizing the lives of people by flouting the corona protocols, but also are constantly engaged in mass mobilization, murder, jihad and arson to realize the out of this world fantasy of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’. In Bengal, the TMC goons, indoctrinated in Muslim appeasement, have also become allies and teammates of Jihadists. Some Hindus of Bengal have been forced to flee to Assam, whereas, Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingya Muslims are being welcomed. What kind of mindset is this?” said Madhusudan Seth, a senior member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad from Kolkata.
