Over 35,000 people vaccinated in BLW

 

Varanasi: Under vaccination campaign, Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) has so far vaccinated 35,000 people. Taking forward the goal of Covid 19 vaccination as a mission, the medical team has now fully utilized the dose of Covid vaccine supplied by the state government.

The BLW spokesperson Rajesh Kumar said that the BLW has vaccinated about 85% of the railway personnel. Among the remaining employees, they could not be vaccinated due to being infected with Covid. At the same time, there are a large number of non-railway persons among them.

According to him, at present, while ensuring the due compliance of the instructions specified by the Government of India, the railway employees, their families and non-railway persons, so far 35,204 eligible beneficiaries have been vaccinated. The first dose of vaccine was given to 10,943 people including 6,100 railway and 4,843 non-railway beneficiaries, while the second dose was given to 2,4261 people including 9,465 railways and 14,796 non-railway beneficiaries.

Keeping in mind the problems of the divyaangjans and elderly persons, the vaccination workers themselves go to them and vaccinate them. Besides, cleaning and sanitization are being done daily in various workshop premises, administration buildings, offices, colony premises, following the Covid protocols for awareness, prevention of infection and vaccination related messages. It has been displayed through banners and posters.
