Mumbai Dabbawala, CACR Foundation distribute free meals to patients’ relatives
Mumbai: The Mumbai Dabbawala union and CACR Foundation are providing free meal to relatives of patients. The two organisations are trying to mitigate the suffering of patients’ relatives due to covid lockdown.
As the patients’ relatives remained busy to take care of them in hospitals with empty stomach due to non-availability of canteens, the Mumbai Dabbawalas and CACR foundation decided to provide free meals to the relatives of patients.
Even though their income got disturbed during lockdown, they have been continuously providing daily free food to 350 relatives of patients at KEM Hospital, 300 to Wadia and 120 relatives at Sayan Hospital of Mumbai Municipal corporation after second wave announced.
