COVID-19 cases continue to rise
Varanasi: As many as 115 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in five districts of eastern UP including Varanasi (19), Ballia (63), Mirzapur (17), Jaunpur (8) and Chandauli (8) on Wednesday.
In Varanasi, the tally of COVID-19 patients rose to 685, though 397 of them have recovered and were discharged from the hospitals. A 52-year-old patient died during treatment on Wednesday increasing the toll to 25. Presently, there are 264 active cases of coronavirus in the district.
COVID-19 cases continue to rise
With 63 new cases of COVID-19 positive in Ballia the tally rose to 270 in the district. So far 111 patients have recovered, while two of them died. Presently, there are 157 active cases of COVID-19 in the district.
In Mirzapur, tally of COVID-19 patients reached to 208, while Jaunpur district touched the mark of 630. Of them 492 patients have recovered, and nine patients died. Chandauli district recorded 207 positive cases so far. Of the 116 have recovered, while three patients died.
