Yogi on the night prowl

Varanasi: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is arriving here on Friday evening on a two-day visit to the city. As per schedule, the CM will be here around 8 pm. After holding a meeting with the officials, he will go for the site inspection of development projects and also offer prayer at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Yogi is perhaps the only chief minister who prefers to move in night hours particularly in Varanasi, the permanent abode of Lord Shiva and the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He generally arrives here in the late evening to review the progress of development works. He holds meeting with the officials at the circuit house and then goes for site inspection at night.

Recently ahead of the PM’s visit on February 16 Yogi camped in the city to take stock of the preparations. He visited Padao area, where PM was to unveil the Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s 63 ft tall statue and memorial. From Padao he went to DDU Trade Facilitation Centre in Bada Lalpur area. Before PM’s visit, Yogi had also camped here on February 10.
