Varanasi: Kashi has waged a war at full throttle against COVID-19 (corona virus) to save its citizens from the deadly virus. Besides isolation and quarantine arrangements for the suspected infected persons, the sanitization drive is in full swing.
The famous Sankat Mochan temple was sanitized with the phenyl and hypochlorite solution spray on Thursday night, the spray of hypochlorite solution by fire brigades was also done on the streets, ghats and other places.
The sanitizer and handwash arrangements have also been made at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other temples for the devotees. The district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma led the sanitization drive in many localities and public places of the city.
