Varanasi: In a tragic incident, three persons lost their lives when the car in which they were traveling plunged into a waterfilled pond in Khejuri area of Ballia district on Thursday morning. Their bodies were fished out and sent for post mortem.
According to reports, Sunil Gupta (42), Ashish Gupta (18) and Anil Gupta (18) were going somewhere in a car when it slipped into the pond. As the car was centrally locked, they could not come out of the car. After getting information the police reached there and started rescue operation. They were taken to the Ballia district hospital where doctors declared them dead.
