Betiyan Foundation honours women for social work

 

Varanasi: Betiyan Foundation, a social organisation working for the cause of girls and women, held a function at Shastri Nagar Chauhan Clinic to commemorate the International Women’s Day. The Foundation felicitated many women on the occasion for their significant contributions to their respective areas like social works, teaching children, abolition of child labour, begging and drug addiction.

Addressing the function, the Chairperson Anju Pandey extended her best wishes to all the women, who were honored for their work for the children along with carrying out their responsibilities from the kitchen to the office. She said that Shashi Bala has become an example of women empowerment by setting up the factory herself.

The Vice President Dr. Kshama Chauhan congratulated all the women. The secretary Shivkumari Gupta said, “We should celebrate the day not once a year, but we should always give respect to women for their multiple role of raising a family to bring equality in the society for both men and women.

The function was attended by Meenu Bana, Amita, Sudha Arora, Kusum Mittal, Rajni Sethi, Lakshmi Bindal, Vinita Tiwari, Archana, Anita Goyal, Neera Saxena and others.
