Varanasi: With two more deaths in last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 casualties has risen to 36 in the district on Wednesday. According to the BHU medical bulletin, both coronavirus infected persons died due to cardiac arrest.

Among the 353 test reports received during Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, 51 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19. With it, the total number of coronavirus infected persons rose to 1,530 in the district. However, 625 patients have recovered from illness, and were discharged from the hospitals. Currently, the district has 869 active cases of COVID-19.
