BHU VC welcomes National Education Policy

Varanasi: The vice chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar welcomed the new education police describing it as a historic step to boost education sector.

“The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to the New Education Policy 2020. It is a historic step in order to boost education sector which has been awaiting reforms for a long time,” said the VC.

“As we strive to realize the dream of New India, the New Education Policy will pave way to transform India into a knowledge based super power. Steps like Universalization of Early Childhood Care Education and ensuring multidisciplinary of education will go a long way not only in preparing students for future challenges but also creating quality human resources to meet requirements of the fast changing world, besides building responsible citizens,” he said.

“The proposal to establish a National Research Foundation will boost the research infrastructure in the country as well as promote the research culture in institutions of higher learning, which is the need of the hour. Most significantly the New Education Policy is reflective of the vision to ensure holistic development of students who know how to make education a tool to change lives and address the problems faced by one and all,” said the VC.
