Varanasi: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday ordered for the suspension of the executive engineer (construction division) of PWD Satish Chandra Verma for laxity in duty.
Maurya reviewed the progress in the works of PWD and UP Bridge Corporation at a meeting held at the circuit house. He asked the officials to complete the ongoing projects on a war footing. He also warned not to compromise with the quality of works.
Taking serious note of the absence of Verma in the meeting and unavailability of the progress report of the construction division (building). He ordered that Verma to be attached with the PWD headquarters.
