Vijay’s shop is today a centre of attraction for selling herbal kadha. After the closure of his shop, he began this venture to serve his area’s policemen, who wanted to enhance their immunity. “I was advised by the inspector of Dashashwamedh police station Siddharth Mishra to prepare kadha for policemen of his area,” said Vijay adding that the importance of kadha is well known for boosting the immunity to fight against the coronavirus. According to him, he uses about 15 types of ayurvedic herbs and ingredients to prepare the quath.

“It is the regular consumption of kadha from this shop that prevented all policemen of our police station from coronavirus. When many policemen got infected with COVID-19 during the duty, not a single policeman from Dashashwamedh police station was infected,” claimed Vijay Kumar Singh, who regularly takes kadha from this shop.

He charges Rs. 10 for a kulhar (earthen cup) of kadha. “It is good for health particularly when the COVID-19 pandemic is scaring everyone,” said Sanjay Chaurasiya, a customer who comes from Piplani Katra area.
