Poultry farm manager shot

Azamgarh: In a broad daylight incident a poultry farm manager was shot dead by two miscreants at Kanchanpur market in Tarwa police station area on Monday. The police were investigating the matter.

According to reports, Saddam (28), resident of Kamhariya village, worked as the manager of his uncle’s poultry farm at Kanchanpur market. He was sleeping in his room in the afternoon when two persons went there to meet him. Following a brief talk, they shot him and fled from the scene. The local residents informed the police and rushed him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The police reached there after getting information. SP (City) Pankaj Pandey said that prima facie some old dispute might be the reason behind the killing. A manhunt has been launched to nab the miscreants. The matter is being investigated and the case would be worked out shortly, he said.
