Varanasi: A 26-year-old woman abducted from Samastipur (Bihar) was rescued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (Mughalsarai) in Chandauli district on Thursday night. The RPF also arrested the kidnapper.
According to reports, the RPF post at DDU got an input that a woman was seen weeping in a general boggy of Anand Vihar-Baijnathdham Express (22466). Acting on it the RPF personnel went to her rescue. The woman informed that she was kidnapped 15 days back by one Vinay Kumar.
The RPF succeeded in nabbing the abductor, who was trying to flee from the scene after seeing the police. A case of kidnapping was registered at Town police station in Samastipur. Later, they were handed over to Bihar police.
