Policemen injured in brick batting
Jaunpur: Six policemen including a CO were injured in a brick batting by the villagers in Hasanpur Chaudhi village in Madiyahu police station area of Jaunpur district on Thursday night.
According to reports, a police team had gone to the village to resolve a matter of land dispute between the residents of Banvasi basti and Chauhan basti. The villagers indulged in brick batting in which policemen sustained injuries and their vehicle was also damaged.
Madiyahu CO Rajendra Prasad along with police force reached the village after getting information. They were also trapped in the brick batting. The CO and other policemen were injured in the incident.
Heavy police force from many police stations were deployed in the village to bring the situation under control. Several persons were caught, and raids were being conducted to nab other accused.
