Rajnath Singh inspects Covid Hospitals in Lucknow
Lucknow: The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the HAL Covid Care Hospital set up under HAL’s Corporate Social Responsibility at the Haj House on Tuesday. Singh was on a visit to his parliamentary constituency.
During inspection, Singh appreciated the facilities and acknowledged the efforts of the Chief Minister and those working to make HAL’s Covid Care Hospital functional in a short span of time. The 255-bed COVID Care Hospital, which has been handed over to the State authorities by HAL, includes 130 beds with oxygen support, 100 with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and 25 with ventilators.
While the technical support is being provided by HAL, the management of the facility will be done by the Uttar Pradesh Government through Care India, an NGO and charity organization. The HAL worked for procurement, installation and commissioning. Besides, they also worked on servicing of the X-Ray machines, nebulizers, oxy-meters, wheel chair, stretchers, BP monitors, Multi Para Display Monitors for ICU beds, CCTV monitoring system, ECG machine, bio chemistry analyzer, incubator, serum electrolyte analyzer, cell counter in the new facility.
Besides, the Defence Minister also inspected the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Covid Hospital created by the DRDO in Lucknow. He also held a meeting with the Chief Minister to take an overview of Covid situation in the state.
