Military-Band Display in BHU

Varanasi: On the occasion of the Army Republic Day Celebration, the 39 GTC organised a military band display in the premises of the Institute of Medical Sciences of Banaras Hindu University on Friday.

The event was organised to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the victory in the Indo-Pak war of 1971 and also pay tribute to the medical fraternity for the yeoman service rendered by them during the pandemic and their continued effort to monitor and control the spread of the virus. During the event the military played patriotic songs and tunes for the audience.

The event was attended by the BHU rector Prof. VK Shukla, IMS director Prof. BR Mittal, the deputy medical superintendent (Covid block) Prof. Saurabh Singh, the nodal officer of Covid Prof KK Gupta, Dr. Chanchal Kumar Singh pf orthopaedics, and the medical staff of the hospital and the officers of 39 GTC. The event was well received by all and the Indian Army utilized the opportunity to honour the Covid-19 warriors, who are in the forefront of the battle against the pandemic.
