SDP-Apheresis machine at DDU-Hospital demanded
Varanasi: The Kashi Raktdaan Kumbh Samiti, a local organization of blood donors, has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the installation of the single donor platelets (SDP) Apheresis machine at the DDU district hospital for the benefit of the poor and needy persons.
“It is our earnest appeal to the PM to look into the matter in the interest of the poor,” said the president Captain Rajneesh Pandey. The founder secretary of the organization Rajesh Gupta said that a memorandum in this regard had been submitted to the parliamentary office of the Prime Minister a year back. He said that the facility would be beneficial for the poor people coming from far off places, as the private institutions charge Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 for it particularly during the spread of dengue.
The KRK Samiti held the meeting of its core committee on Saturday to raise the demand. The meeting was attended by Pradeep Israni, Manish Pandey and other blood donors.
