IIT (BHU) organises 2020 edition of HULT Prize Competition

Varanasi: The IIT-BHU will host the local edition of Hult Prize, the world’s biggest learning platform that enables the new generation to deliver social change through education and entrepreneurship, on December 6.

According to Sanchit Gupta, Head of Public Relations, HULT Prize, BHU, the Hult Prize awards one million dollars in start-up funding to the team of students that develops the most radical and breakthrough idea to solve one of the world’s toughest social challenges.

In partnership with the United Nations, the Hult Prize is hosting college and university events around the world in search of the next game-changing start-up. The campus director Dibjyajyoti Dey will be leading the Hult Prize at — IIT-BHU On-Campus Programme.

The winner of the BHU on-campus programme will automatically advance to compete in one of Hult Prize Regional Summits happening around the world. One winning team from each host city will then move onto a summer accelerator, where participants will receive mentorship, advisory and strategic planning as they create prototypes and set-up to launch their new social business.

The Global final round of competition will be hosted at the United Nations Headquarters, where the winning team is to be awarded the $1,000,000 prize.
