IIT(BHU) performance in QS Asia Ranking 2021
Varanasi: The IIT (BHU) has participated for the first time in the QS Regional (Asia) Ranking 2021, and has been ranked in the “block of 301-350”, as per the report published by the QS Regional (Asia) Rankings 2021 on November 25.
According to IIT (BHU) spokesperson, the institute has been classified under the “Institution of very high research intensity” in the domain of Engineering and Technology. The QS ranking is based on the performance of an institution in eleven specific indicators and IIT BHU has been ranked 59 and 212 under the indicators “Papers per faculty” and “Citations per paper” respectively.

Whereas under the indicators; academic and research reputation the institute has been ranked in the slab of 251-300 and in the other indicators (Faculty-student ratio, International faculty, etc) the institute stood in the slab of 301-350.
The IIT (BHU) director Prof. PK Jain said that encouraged by the NIRF ranking 2020 and QS regional ranking 2021 results, the institute thrives to improve its national/regional and global ranking performance in the future.
