President Kovind reaches Lucknow on his two-day visit

 

Lucknow: The President of India Ramnath Kovind on Monday reached Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh on his two-day visit of the state capital. He is on a five-day visit of the state.

President boarded the special presidential train at Kanpur Central railway station this morning and reached Lucknow this afternoon. Governor of State Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other ministers welcomed the president on his arrival at railway station. President will stay at Raj Bhavan.

President will meet dignitaries in Lucknow on Monday and will take part in the ceremony of laying of foundation stone for Ambedkar Culture Centre on Tuesday. The centre is being developed by culture ministry of state and around 45 crore rupees will be spent on various structures and facilities in the centre. President will return to New Delhi on a special flight on Tuesday.
