Chief Secretary Reviews Development Works

Varanasi: Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari reviewed the developmental works in Varanasi through video conference on Tuesday. He directed the officials to complete the works within the time frame.
The divisional commissioner Deepak Agarwal, district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma, vice president of Varanasi Development Authority Isha Duhan and other officials attended the meeting.
The commissioner informed that the of construction work costing more than Rs.10 crore have been completed. The department wise utility of important projects, the status of release of funds the status of human resource, equipment and furniture in the completed projects, and also the important projects proposed for approval by the government were reviewed in the meeting.
Noticing the slow progress in the work of Ganga pollution control by the Jal Nigam, the Chief Secretary expressed his dissatisfaction and asked the commissioner to get the quality check. He directed all the executing agencies to complete the incomplete work expeditiously.
