One more BHU-student goes missing

Varanasi: After a Banaras Hindu University student from Madhya Pradesh, another student from Bihar has gone missing from Varanasi. A missing report has been registered with the Lanka police station in this regard on September 3.

According to reports, a BA First Year student Shiblu Ali, resident of Kaimur in Bihar, had left home for BHU on August 27 to submit some documents. After arriving at BHU he talked to his family members and informed them that he submitted the document, and he would return home after two days. After that his phone switched off. He later contacted his brother Naushad Ali by some other phone number and said that he was going somewhere and would return after two days.

One more BHU-student goes missing

As he did not return home and his phone also remained switched off since then, his father Sartaj Ali came to Varanasi in search of his son. He lodged a missing report at Lanka police station on September 3. Lanka inspector Mahesh Pandey said that the police are looking after the matter, and posters have also been circulated to get any breakthrough.

Earlier, a student Shiv Kumar Trivedi from Madhya Pradesh had also gone missing on February 15. The matter was taken to the Allahabad High Court, and the Varanasi SSP had to be present before the court on September 3.  The SSP has been asked to be present in the court in person on September 22.

On noticing Shiv in abnormal conditions at Amphitheatre ground on BHU campus on February 12 night a varsity student had called 112 after which police took him to Lanka police station. However, he went missing on February 13. On failing to contact his son Trivedi reached Varanasi from Panna on February 15 and registered a case of missing with Lanka police. Since then Trivedi, a farmer from Panna district in Madhya Pradesh, has been searching for his son.
